Headquarters Creation

Overview

  1. Location: Write down where your Headquarters is located.
  2. Size: Caluclate the size of the Headquarters based on the Character's Profession rating.
  3. Facilities: Step Up Facility Ranks a number of times equal to the Size of the Headquarters.

Location

Where is it? Start with what Country your HQ is located in. Then decide on a City, Neighborhood, and if you're feeling thought even the street it's on. Decide what kind of building it is, was, or at least appears to be. None of these details effect the mechanics of the game but can greatly inform the style of role-playing and help guide your decisions for what Facilities to include and what Staff to hire.

Examples: Abandoned Building, Bomb Shelter, Estate, Industral Park, Marine Research Vessel, Military Base, Office Building, Offshore Oilrig, Private Residence, Storefront, Underground, Underwater, Warehouse

Size

How big is it? Every Professional working out of the Headquarters adds to it's size, their contribution depends on their Profession score. The total Size of the Headquarters is equal to the combined Profession Rating of any Professional working out of the Headquarters. Disregard the number of dice and look only at the die size.

Facilities

What's in it? Every point of Size allows the team to step up one Rank of a Facility.

Armory

Allows Professionals working out of this Headquarters to Spend Bits in order to buy Tools. The maximum rank of a Tool that can be purchased is equal to the Rank of the Armory. The cost of the Tool depends on what Rank the Tool is. The chart below outlines Tool costs.

Barracks

Allows Professionals working out of this Headquarters to recruit prospective members. The stats of the recruit is equal to the Rank of the Barracks. See Target Numbers section for Character Stat blocks.

Brig

Allows Professionals working out of this Headquarters to capture and detain enemies. The Brig can hold a number of people equal to the Brig Rating.

Control Room

Allows Professionals working out of this Headquarters to send recruits out on missions, earning Bits and Trophies for the team. The maximum difficulty of the mission is equal to the Rank of the Control room.

Infirmary

Allows Professionals working out of this Headquarters to remove long lasting Consequences. Between Heists Professionals can remove a number of Consequence equal to the Infirmary Rating.

Inner Sanctum

Allows Professionals working out of this Headquarters a chance to adjust their Traits. Between Heists Professionals can shift one die per Inner Sanctum Rating. This works like Adaptation, see Bits: Spending, but without spending Bits.

Laboratory

Allows Professionals working out of this Headquarters to research and develop new Talents. Professionals can have a number of Talents equal to the Laboratory Rating.

Strongroom

Allows Professionals working out of this Headquarters to store Trophies equal to or less than the Rank of the Strongroom. Any Trophy stored in a Strongroom add's it's Rating to the Bit limit for all Professionals operating out of this Headquarters.

Training Room

Allows Professions working out of this Headquarters to increase their Specialties. Professionals get a number of Steps equal to the Training Room Rating.
